Did Someone Say Free?
General — By Kol Isha on February 9, 2009 6:36 pmOkay. By a show of hands. How many of you out there gave up your music lessons when you were a kid because the songs were so awful? Uh huh. That’s what I thought.
A quick survey of the piano books in my house yields these exciting favorites: “Skipping Frogs”, “Circus Fun” and the ever popular “Waltzing Elephants”. Is it any wonder boys and girls all over dread their music lessons?
Thankfully, times have changed. Free Jewish sheet music abounds on the web. And if you like to listen to it, chances are good that you can get free sheet music for it. These days, most singers have their own websites, many of which have free sheet music. Even some of the ones that don’t post sheet music are nice enough to share, if you ask them nicely.

Seeking first four measures of the vocal HARMONY LINE ONLY of the chorus of Boruch Menzelefsky a”h’s “Koh Ribon”, as performed on D’veykus V. Yes, I have the official sheet music book for all six D’veykus albums. No, it does not show more than the piano chords and the vocal melody line. The rest of the song I can extrapolate by listening repeatedly or improvising, but I would love to have the official version of the harmony to the four measures “Ko-o-oh Ri-bo-o-on o-o-o-la-a-am”, especially as I have done a singable English translation, and I can neither read nor write sheet music at this point. The written names of the notes will do nicely.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.

I play, so I can probably figure it out…
What key is it in in the songbook?
And do you mean the first low part, or the beginning of the “high” part?
